Families and groups are welcome to stay at Chapel Hill.
Resting upon a tranquil hilltop on the island of Waiheke, you can find the wonderful grounds of Chapel Hill, with 15 acres of rolling pastures, olive groves, vineyards and orchards. Enjoy magnificent views of the island, across award winning vineyards and towards the sea.
Retreat into our rural haven and choose one of our three luxury homes. For a couple’s romantic getaway Griffin Cottage and Cupid’s Cottage provide seclusion and a chance for quality time together. There is also space for the kids downstairs, if you really wish to bring them.
For larger groups Pegasus Lodge provides spacious accommodation for up to 12 people. We love hosting families of three generations and have wheel chair access, if needed. The lodge has an extensive open plan kitchen which opens out onto an enormous 200 sq metre deck. With breathtaking views right out to the sea it is perfect for big family BBQs. The little extras like dressing gowns, hammocks, monopoly, nespresso coffee machine, wine fridge, a library and surround sound entertainment area, along with other facilities, are there to enable everyone, of all ages, to enjoy their stay.
For the more adventurous, enjoy a delightful walk to neighbouring vineyards and restaurants. Te Motu was recently awarded a Cuisine Good Food Hat and Tantalus is receiving rave reviews. We are also a short drive to the beautiful Onetangi beach and other attractions.
Finally, we’d like to show you our little Church. Lost in overgrown woods for decades, the original 1933 Towai Church was rescued and ferried here to Waiheke. See the Church’s journey and check out some lovely weddings that have already been celebrated here at Chapel Hill.
