“Beautiful setting, location, retreat-like; ideal for family reunion and 60th birthday. Plenty of room for 8 adults and 2 children; kids loved seeing the animals and learning about them. Katherine, thank you for your fantastic hospitality and introducing us to your lovely daughter Florence; sorry we never got to meet Dan on this occasion – hope there will be other times! Good Luck with your ongoing plans for the lodge.” (August 2016, Tish and Steve)

“Katherine was absolutely fabulous, such a pleasure and she couldn’t have helped us more. She liaised with me and our work group of 10 and offered us the world of information about Waiheke. Gold Star treatment.” (Lorraine, Mar 2015)

“A group of 10 stayed at the fabulous Pegasus Lodge. It was absolutely sublime, peaceful and huge. We were only a small car ride away from all the beaches. Katherine was absolutely amazing and helped me so much with bookings. She met up with us and brought us all down to meet and greet the animals, we got to feed all the animals and hold baby doves. The property is stunning, luxurious and has it all. I would recommend it in a heartbeat and wish I could have stayed longer, loved it, loved it.” (Lorraine, Mar 2015)

“What a fabulous place! We’ve had a wonderful stay at Pegasus Lodge, thank you Katherine and Dan for everything. You are very lucky to live in such a great location, Onetangi beach and surrounding bays are great and visits to the vineyards were wonderful. The house is just perfect for entertaining family or friends as is so well equipped.” (Annie and Mark, Dec 2015)

“I recently had the pleasure of staying at Pegasus Lodge with a group of friends and we had a fabulous time. It’s a great location with lovely views over the vineyards and the open plan style lends itself to entertaining, especially the flow through into the huge open deck. We also loved the spa in the ensuite and the fact that we could open French doors making it an inside / outside experience. Thank you Katherine for making our visit so welcoming and we loved feeding the pigs with you. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to stay on Waiheke Island with family or friends” (Trip Advisor, Dec 2015)

“Our stay at Griffin Cottage was simply fantastic! Both the interior and exterior of the house have been wonderfully maintained and are beautiful. Katherine was a wonderful host who takes a lot of pride in looking after her guests. We really enjoyed getting to spend some time feeding the animals on the property and learning a little more about it’s history. We can’t wait to come back!” (Holly, Dec 2015)

“Oh wow, there are not enough good things I can say about Katherine and her family and the beautiful cottage we stayed in! This place is just as cute as the pictures show and the experience turned out even better than imagined. Not only is this cottage set against one of the prettiest landscapes of the island, complete with the most lovable of farm animals, there are some great wineries nearby. And on top of all of this, Katherine was really easy to get a hold of, and the location was pretty spot on and easily accessible. This cottage is easy to get to even if you don’t have a car since it’s right along the bus line. Katherine was kind enough to invite my friend and I along to help her do a morning feeding of the animals. It’s clear she and her family put a lot of time and energy into maintaining the locations. There’s also a lot of ideas for improving the experiences. If I get the chance to come back to New Zealand again, I’ll definitely be doing another visit to Waiheke just for the experience alone to stay at this location. Thanks again for all your help, Katherine. We loved our time here, and I absolutely fell in love with Maggie and Pumpkin especially!” (Eden, Nov 2015)

“Beautiful house and location, thank you both for welcoming us it was beautiful restful stay on this island of Waiheke.” (Kelly and Riki, Nov 2015)

“Love the facility, the house is magnificent.  Thanks especially to Katherine and Florence for the great intro to the animals and especially to Toba, he made us feel right at home. Loved it.” (The Balls and the Rushtons, Oct 2015)

“Such a fantastic weekend! Had such a lovely time in this picturesque Lodge, so many great moments. Thank you so much for having us!” (Scott, Oct 2015)

“I don’t even have words for how amazing our stay with Katherine at Pegasus Lodge was. My husband and I decided we wanted to have a destination wedding and extended honeymoon in New Zealand, and Katherine agreed to let us have a small wedding ceremony and reception at the Pegasus Lodge!!! Her whole property is gorgeous. The vineyards, olive tree groves, and the views are to die for. She has a whole host of fun farm animals (sheep, pigs, doves, chickens) that she let us interact with – one sheep, Peanut, even came to the wedding!! The Pegasus Lodge is walking distance to their nearest neighboring vineyard, Te Motu, so we went over the morning of our wedding for a wine tasting which was beyond fun, and the wines we tasted there was probably the best I’ve ever hard. Katherine and her husband, Dan, along with their daughter, Florence, were nothing but kind and accommodating for the 2 nights that myself, my husband, and our wedding guests stayed on their property. Katherine went out of her way to make sure that we had absolutely everything we needed, and checked-in frequently via text to make sure everything was running smoothly. We are so incredible thankful for Katherine and the Pegasus Lodge for making our wedding so incredible and special. We’re already planning a trip back to New Zealand, and when that day comes we will absolutely be staying at Pegasus Lodge again – hopefully for even longer!” (Jess, Oct 2015)

“Pegasus lodge was absolutely perfect. The trip over to Waiheke was easy, and made even easier by the kindness of Katherine helping us along the way. The lodge itself is luxurious, spacious and has everything you could possibly want, but also feels relaxing and cozy. We loved meeting all the animals and exploring the area and strolling down to Stony ridge vineyard for lunch was easy as well. The perfect weekend” (Jane, Sep 2015)

“Thank you so very, very much Katherine and Dan, I had the best 30th ever!! This is the most beautiful spot, house and experience, you absolutely blew us away with your kindness. Loved the animals and strolling across to Stoneyridge was so easy and fun. Thanks for everything, we wish you all the best and hope to see you again.” (Janey, family and friends, Aug 2015)

“Cosy get together was fantastic. Great place to bond – all 12 of us! Great to be a big family in a beautiful house, thank you.” (Andy and family, Jun 2015)

“Nothing beats staying in the warm cosy lounge with the family and enjoying a fantastic weekend with local Waiheke views. Spacious and well laid out, family orientated with a taste of luxury. This lodge certainly represents the best of NZ luxury holiday homes. The lovely friendly owners warmly welcomed our stay and showed us the amazing little ‘animal garden’. That was really something special for the kids. Although a short stay it will bring us back to this paradise island in the near future! Strongly recommend.” (Tian Qiu, Jun 2015)

“Pegasus Lodge was a fantastic venue for our small family wedding. Katherine was extremely helpful in so many ways, even taking the children to see her farm animals, and helping as we coordinated wedding details. The ceremony was held on the back deck, and reception with 32 people held inside. Photo shoot ranged over the farm with vineyards and animals playing a role. The whole property and neighbourhood were beautiful and family also stayed at the two other cottages on Katherine’s property. Katherine was on hand for any questions we had over the period we were there. We were all delighted” (Anne-Marie, June 2015)

“Thank you so much for the beautiful space. Amazing and very relaxing. What an amazing place for an all girls party! Hope to be back one day and thanks for the great communication.” (Lisa and girls, May 2015)

“Thank you so much for making our stay a ‘home away from home’. The beauty of your facilities would have been enough but you went above and beyond. The girls loved the animals and those from Dubbo loved your hills! We all enjoyed our stay and will do our best to send more Aussies your way. Thanks again.” (The Hoogestegers, Apr 2015)
